See And Be Seen - Domingo Guerra

Spotted at the Barça bar is Domingo Guerra, Artistic Director of the Hartford International Jazz Festival which takes place every October on Columbus Day Weekend at multiple venues throughout Hartford.

Maria: What brings you out tonight?
Domingo: Just landed a big act for my Festival - so I'm doing a little celebrating!
Maria: So do you play some Jazz yourself?
Domingo: Not that you'd want to hear! But I am a definite connoisseur of all music - and Jazz in particular, speaks to me. The festival keeps me busy. We're in our 7th year and the talent it's grown to attract is phenomenal.
Maria: And what's that you're drinking?
Domingo: It's a pomegranate Caipirinha - can't beat it!

Let Us Introduce Ourselves!

Barça brings an eclectic blend of Spanish-influenced cuisine and Manhattan style to Hartford's hip Parkville section of town. We are located on the first floor of The Design Center, a renovated factory building at Park and Bartholomew Street. Barça has something for everyone, whether you stop in for a business lunch or for happy hour Tapas and one of our famous Mojitos!

Chef Jesus Seoane

We are fortunate to be able to welcome Chef Jesus Seoane to our team here at Barça. Originally from the northwestern Spanish town of Vigo, Jesus has lived and worked around the globe. After attending 5 years in culinary school in Santiago, Jesus spent some time in the Spanish Navy, serving as a cook during the 1995 Bosnian War. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for travel and food - especially during trips to Greece, Turkey, and Italy. He later went on to work in such exotic locals as the Canary Islands and Mexico, finally ending up here in Hartford, CT, where he was hired as Executive Chef for Morton's The Steakhouse. Fortunately for us, his passion for Mediterranean cuisine never left him and eventually led him here, to Barça, where he has made his mark on our original menu with his eclectic blend of flavors and cuisine.
